KSL Channel 5 Brigham, UT is reporting that, "A man was recovering Wednesday after being shot over the weekend by his dog." It appears that he and a friend were duck hunting from a small boat. When they pulled up on the shore, he placed his gun in the bow of the boat and disembarked. His dog, still in the boat, then somehow caused the gun to discharge, peppering his owner's rear with 26 pellets.
I'm not making this up, you can read about this hunting accident here: http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=18299091&title=dog-shoots-man
Despite the funny headline, it is fortunate this man is alive and that his injuries were not more severe.
Does anyone want to share some hunter safety tips, or a close call story?
The art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy's not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him; not on the chance of his not attacking, but rather on the fact that we have made our position unassailable. -Sun Tzu
